Luta Livre
Luta Livre is a martial art originating from Brazil and is counted among the grappling styles like Sambo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling. The aim of the fight is to bring the opponent to the ground by means of wrestling techniques / throws, to fix him there and to make him give up by arm levers, leg levers or chokeholds (submissions). Punches and kicks are not allowed. Luta Livre has become internationally known through mixed martial arts competitions, where Luta Livre forms one of the most important bases. It inspires above all by its realistic and fast to learn techniques, which are also ideally applicable in self-defense situations under enormous pressure (without weapons). The Luta Livre training is led by black belt (2nd Dan) Dustin Ball.
